IF there are usable latent prints it takes about 20 to 60 minutes to run them depending on the department. That is a a really big if. Unlike on CSI and other TV shows it is rare to get a comparable fingerprints, especially in a burglary. We found years ago that comparable palm prints show up a lot more in burglary situations.
